How do the greetings cards and e-cards work?

All items and services have been chosen as they are urgently in need. Each item can be sent as a personalised greetings card, e-card or if you don't want anything sent you can leave an optional message of support that could be featured on our Kindness wall. So whether you’re covering the cost of a young refugee's school uniform, supporting someone get back on their feet after hospital or helping to pay for a family to be reunited after war, your kindness will have a huge impact.

Follow the three steps below to find out how to give a gift that gives back:

1 . Choose a gift

Have a browse of our greetings cards - the choice is up to you!

2 . Make it personal

If you're dedicate your card to someone you love, leave them a little note in the space provided on the page. Make sure you enter their shipping address at checkout to get it sent to the recipient directly.

It can also arrive as a personalised e-card if you're short on time. Simply select that option from the drop down menu and add in the recipients name and email address - the email will be sent automatically after you purchase it. We've tried our best to make sure this doesn't happen, but please ask them to check their junk folder if it hasn't been received!

3. Send your kindness

Add the gift to your basket and checkout as normal! If you select a greetings card this will arrive within 3-5 working days in the post.

Who are Urban Makers?

The British Red Cross has partnered with Urban Makers – a collective of independent makers who create beautiful, ethically made products with the environment in mind. Every time you buy from the British Red Cross Shop, you’ll be helping us carry out our life-changing work, as well as supporting independent designers across the UK.

We receive 10% of the total sales made through Urban Makers purchases. This revenue will allow us to continue to support others – from helping people home after a stay in hospital, to hiring a wheelchair, to reuniting families torn apart by war.
